Took off one star for distribution of lemons instead of limes for my pho and giving me 2 jalapeno slices. They did accommodate more and the pho broth was incredibly clean and flavorful. Def the best DAC BIET I've had in a long time
The food was delicious and if you don't know what you want, the servers will help recommend the perfect meal to suit your tastes. The atmosphere is like you're being transported to an old school small town.
I’m not sure there is a night of the week that Charlotte does not go out! We went on a Tuesday night, braving the traffic and a 40 minute wait for a table. It was so cute and festive inside! There were two sides with maybe 16-18 tables. We tried some staples- a vermicelli bowl, pho, and spring rolls. The rolls were hot, crispy and delicious. The pho was good- I am used to places with a greater quantity of toppings, but what came with it was adequate. The vermicelli bowl was good- nice and light and fresh tasting. We enjoyed our trip there, but maybe will try for an off time or lunch rather than peak dinner time!
phenomenal. I just went and everything from the customer service to the food is amazing. If i could give more than 5 starts than i would . If they where to not have any supporters/customer than i would be dead. I tried Pho Tai, Spring rolls and quail. Phenomenal. I love spicy food so the sauce you ask for the pho was AMAZING too. Sweet tea was great, they kept refilling too :) Customer service was so great that we got wine at closing since it was already 10PM. THE SWEETEST PEOPLE EVER if you need a new fav spot this is it . I love it and the employees.
While we had an extended wait to get a table the staff was very kind and attentive even while extremely busy. This is clearly a restaurant that has HUGE community ties. The food was delicious we had never tried quail but got it because an employee recommended it and it was fantastic extremely well seasoned. We decided to come because of the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award it earned and can happily say it lived up to the hype. See you tomorrow!
My boys have been wanting to try Lang Van for quite some time. They had attempted to go before but couldn’t get in, so as a top Google Local Guide, I was definitely intrigued to see what all the hype was about. We finally made it happen, and our son even brought a friend along to join us. A couple things to note upfront: parking can be a challenge, and the restaurant itself is quite small, which may contribute to the wait and overall experience. For context, I’ve dined at a wide range of restaurants, including Michelin-level establishments. Without sounding overly critical, I have to ask…where was the flavor? Unfortunately, nothing truly stood out to me as memorable—not one dish that made me pause and say “wow.” Even the 4 stars I’ve given feels a bit generous. One of our dishes mentioned shrimp and a pancake and when I opened it up to look, each slice of the pancake had one small shrimp. What was that? After the meal, I checked in with both my husband and my son, and they shared the same sentiment—it just wasn’t anything to rave about. In my opinion, this is a one-and-done spot.
